Ms. Jackson’s practice includes real estate, business and taxation matters with a focus on negotiating, reviewing and drafting a wide range of business and commercial real estate agreements.
Ms. Jackson assists clients with entity formation, exit planning and ongoing business concerns. She serves as outside general counsel for clients across a variety of industry sectors ranging in size from sole proprietorships to publicly traded companies. Her business background includes extensive knowledge of supply-chain management, product development, placement and marketing, import-export control, cargo inspections and vendor contract negotiations.
Ms. Jackson advises and represents clients in a wide range of real estate areas. She has considerable experience with due diligence, construction, development, leasing and sale transactions involving commercial, residential, unimproved and government-owned properties. She regularly appears before governing boards to advocate for client projects and interacts with surveyors, developers, project managers, engineers, underwriters, and government agency staff to resolve land use issues. She has extensive experience analyzing a variety of residential and commercial real property legal concerns, such as 1031 like-kind exchanges, valuation challenges related to charitable contributions of façade easements, land use, permitting and zoning issues, acquisition and disposition transactions, as well as landlord-tenant and title-boundary disputes.
Ms. Jackson attended Arizona State University, where she earned a bachelor of science and graduated magna cum laude. She then attended California Western School of Law, where she earned multiple Academic Excellence Awards for achieving the highest grade among her peers and graduated cum laude with a Concentration in Business with Honors. Based on her academic performance, she maintained the Dean's Merit Scholarship throughout her law school career. For her excellent comprehension of contracts coursework, the law school employed Ms. Jackson as a Contracts Tutor. Ms. Jackson served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Karen Crawford and the Honorable William Q. Hayes, both of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. She also served on the Executive Board of the law school's Business Law Society and her articles have been published in nationally recognized law journals. After passing both the California and Arizona bar exams, Ms. Jackson attended University of San Diego School of Law, where she earned an LL.M. in Taxation.
