Malte Farnaes was born in Copenhagen and has lived in San Diegosince 1983. He graduated from the University of California, SanDiego with a B.A. in European History. Mr. Farnaes received his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he also served as Lead Articles Editor of the San Diego Law Review.
Mr. Farnaes is the owner of Farnaes Law, APC in San Diego, a general law practice focused on civil litigation and business transactions. He has successfully prosecuted over 600 cases for Plaintiffs and Defendants in diverse areas of law including employment, intellectual property, fiduciary duty, advertising, corporate governance, real estate, class actions and representative actions, as well as business to business disputes. Malte has also represented and advised numerous Danish clients doing business in California.
Mr. Farnaes served for 6 years as a member of the board of directors of the Danish American Chamber of Commerce of Southern California.
In 2015, he was appointed Honorary Consul for the Kingdom of Denmark in San Diego. On January 1, 2024 Her Majesty the Queen awarded Mr. Farnaes a Knighthood of the Order of Dannebrog.
